Description
These Chaya skates are ideal for newcomers eager to begin roller derby. This skate provides an excellent starting point without being too costly. The great aspect is that if roller derby becomes your passion, you can upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more customised style and superior parts.
The boot is extremely soft with even softer padding, ensuring a comfortable fit. It's crafted from a composite material that's easy to care for and resistant to scratches. The lower cut is designed for optimal manoeuvrability.
The Shari 3.0 plate on these Ruby skates combines nylon and fibreglass, both of which are highly resistant to wear, durable, and lightweight. You can mount it to most Chaya boots using the Dual Center Mounting, allowing you to adjust the boot angle according to your specific riding style above the plate. The Power toe system enhances power, speed, and control while maintaining slight pre-tension in your muscles for quicker reactions.
In this configuration, the Ruby does not employ the DCM mounting system. Instead, it utilises a traditional 4 bolt setup.
The trucks are fashioned from aluminium and have a 20º angle.
The Octo Paseo wheels on the Ruby Soft possess a 78A durometer, with a design aimed at providing beginners with an easily skateable wheel suitable for various surfaces. Be aware that if you plan to use these skates exclusively for indoor derby, harder wheels might be preferable for this specific purpose.
The Cherry Toe stopper enhances control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings strike a balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure a smooth roll speed.
