Description
These Chaya skates are perfect for novices who are eager to begin roller derby and for skaters seeking a well-ventilated, low-cut quad skate. They provide an excellent platform without stretching your budget. Moreover, the fantastic aspect is that if you determine roller derby is your sport, you can always upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more personalised style and superior parts.
The boot boasts the low-slung silhouette of a trainer and is covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather, which feels soft to the touch yet withstands wear from contact with, for example, derby rink flooring or other derby players. The Poron/EVA padding is exceptionally soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate all day with minimal to no discomfort. To further improve the fit, Chaya has designed the boot and lining to be fully heat-mouldable, providing a second-skin fit. It is low cut for optimal manoeuvrability.
On these Jade skates, the Shari 3.0 plate combines nylon and fibreglass that are both resistant to wear, durable, and lightweight. It can be mounted onto most Chaya boots using the Dual Centre Mounting, enabling you to adjust the boot angle to suit your specific riding style atop the plate. The Power toe system enhances power, speed, and control while maintaining a slight pre-tension in your muscles, allowing you to react swiftly and change direction swiftly.
The trucks are crafted from aluminium and feature a 20º angle.
The Octo Propel wheels are wide and grippy, with a 92A durometer.
The Chaya Controller toe-stopper provides additional control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings strike a fine balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure an effortless roll speed.
