Description
These Chaya skates are perfect for beginners aiming to start roller derby and for skaters seeking a well-ventilated, low-cut quad skate. They offer an excellent platform without breaking the bank. Plus, if you decide Roller Derby is your thing, you can always upgrade the plate, wheels, and other parts for a more personalized style and enhanced performance.
The boot is designed in the low-profile style of a sneaker and covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather, which is both soft to the touch and durable against wear from Derby rink flooring or other derby players. The Poron/EVA padding is incredibly soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate all day with minimal discomfort. Additionally, Chaya has made the boot and liner fully heat-moldable to ensure a second-skin fit. It is low cut for optimal maneuverability.
The Shari 3.0 plate on these Jade skates combines nylon and fiberglass, making it highly resistant to wear, durable, and lightweight. It can be mounted to most Chaya boots with the Dual Center Mounting, allowing you to angle the boot to your specific riding style on the plate. The Power toe system provides more power, speed, and control, maintaining slight pre-tension in your muscles for quick reactions and swift direction changes.
The trucks are constructed from aluminum and have a 20º angle.
The Octo Propel wheels are wide and grippy, featuring a 92A durometer.
The Chaya Controller toe-stopper offers added control and maneuverability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings strike a fine balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure effortless roll speed.
