Two factors contribute to the extended durability of these barends compared to regular ones. Firstly, they are constructed from aluminum, which is more robust than plastic. Additionally, you can securely fasten them in place using the wedge-shaped inserts that are compatible with most bars. They are secured with a flush-mounted Allen bolt.
