Drifter 2018 Kite

A stable and responsive kite designed for kitesurfing by Cabrinha. The Drifter kite is crafted to excel in wave surfing and freestyle surfing, featuring attributes such as excellent control and pop.

The Drifter showcases Pure Profile Panels, excellent power delivery, and effective Slack line Drift - all essential for an enjoyable wave riding experience, allowing you to focus on wave actions rather than the kite's position in the air, thanks to its consistent pull and power beneficial for tricks and cutbacks.

Features:

• 1X Security

Activating the 1X security system immediately cuts the kite's power, enabling it to rest still on water or land.

• Dynamic Arc

This innovation enables the kite to adopt two distinct arc shapes.
One arc shape is used while airborne, and another when on the water to allow easier relaunching.

• High Tenacity Dacron

The material utilised by Cabrinha helps maintain the structure's integrity, fights deformation during flight, and reduces elongation, resulting in more precise and predictable kites.

• Onshore/Offshore

This technology is incorporated into the Drifter kites. The offshore setting enhances the surfing performance in side shore and offshore winds, improving upwind capacity for easier cutbacks in such winds. The onshore setting optimises performance for side shore and onshore winds, providing the maximum amount of “drift” and sharper turns.

• Power Control

The rear line "pig tail" connectors on the kite offer three power settings. The middle setting is the factory-recommended option. Select the knot closest to the kite for increased power, or the knot nearest to the rider for reduced power.

• Pure Profile Panels

Cabrinha strategically places panels to ensure the kites have stable aerodynamic profiles, enhancing efficiency, performance, and the range of performance.

• Skeletal Frame

This technology reinforces the kite's structure during use, ensuring stability and facilitating easier relaunch.

• Slackline Drift

This technology is a key feature of the Drifter kites. It helps the kite remain aloft for extended periods when the lines slacken, allowing you to fully concentrate on wave riding.

• Sprint System W/ Airlock

The expansive airlock system enables rapid inflation and swift deflation post-session. Each strut can be secured to maintain the kite frame's rigidity and isolate any unintended strut deflation from the rest of the kite.
