Customizing the Mouthguard: Note! Boiling water can be dangerous!

1. Boil the water and let it sit for 30 seconds before immersing the adult guard in the water for 70 seconds. (30 seconds for Youth)

2. Remove the guard from the water with a spoon, shake off excess water, and immediately center the guard on the upper teeth. (The guard should be warm)

3. Once the upper teeth are centered, bite down gently and use your tongue to suck/squeeze out air and excess water. You may also use your fingers to press the guard into place from the outside.

4. Leave the guard in your mouth for 30 seconds, then remove it and place it under cold running water.

5. If the fit is not perfect, repeat the process until it is optimal.

6. If the guard is slightly too large, you can trim the ends with a knife.
