Twin Skin Race Mohair Skins

Replacement skins for Twin Skin Fischer cross-country skis crafted entirely from mohair.

41cm appropriate for ski lengths: 182cm, 187cm, and 192cm

45cm suitable for ski lengths: 197cm, 202cm, and 207cm

Fischer Twin Skin Race Mohair Skins can be swapped out with relative ease:

1) To detach the old skins, gently warm them with a hairdryer or iron

2) Then, starting from the back end, carefully lift and detach the old skin using a sharp tool

3) Clean the skin groove and ensure any remaining adhesive is removed

4) Detach roughly 5cm of the protective film at the front end of the new skin

5) Ensure the hairs face the correct direction: as you run your finger from front to back, there should be no resistance

6) Place the skin in the groove at the front end and press it down firmly with your finger

7) Then, press the skin into the groove working from the front to the back. Following this, remove the film from front to back with one hand while gently pressing down the skin with the other hand in the same manner from front to back. Important: refrain from stretching the skin, as it must retain its original length to fit precisely in the groove.

Finally, smooth the skin with your hand multiple times, ensuring it is pressed firmly and lies flat without any irregularities. If any bumps are present, press them down to flatten them.
