The Guardian MNC 16 touring ski binding from Salomon incorporates a free heel feature, enabling mountain ascents in walking mode with your skis on. The MNC technology (Multi Norm Certified) facilitates adjusting the bindings to accommodate both standard alpine ski boots (ISO 5355) and alpine touring ski boots compliant with ISO 9523 standards, as well as alpine ski boots with the WTR (Walk To Ride) outer soles.

The bindings include a brake arm system similar to typical alpine bindings, and their relatively low stand height enhances power transmission and terrain feedback.
