Determining the Appropriate BMX Headset Size

The typical size for a BMX headset is 1 ⅛ inches, corresponding to the fork steerer tube's diameter. Some versions offer a tapered format, combining 1⅛ and 1½ inch dimensions. Race BMX bikes and youth BMX bikes might have a smaller headset tube measuring 1 inch.

Common additional components include BMX headset spacers, which can modify the stack height, as well as C rings that help align the fork within the headtube.

Comparing BMX Integrated and Non-Integrated Headsets
