Customising the Mouthguard: Caution! Boiling water can be hazardous!

1. Bring water to a boil, then allow it to stand for 30 seconds before submerging the adult mouthguard for 70 seconds. (30 seconds for the youth size)

2. Remove the mouthguard with a spoon, shake off the water, and swiftly place it centred on the upper teeth while it is still warm.

3. With the upper teeth centred, bite down gently and use your tongue to expel air and surplus water from the mouthguard. You may also employ your fingers to press the protector into position from the outside.

4. Keep the mouthguard in your mouth for 30 seconds, then remove and rinse under cold running water.

5. Repeat the process if the fit is not optimal.

6. If the mouthguard is slightly large, trim the ends with a knife.
