2021: Extending the Legendary Annapurna Skatepark

Make Life Skate Life’s recent project to extend the Annapurna Skatepark in Pokhara, Nepal was gracefully backed by SkatePro customers through the annual Giveback Friday campaign. Originally built in 2017, this skatepark has become a cornerstone for the local skateboarding community, offering a space where hundreds of young people have been introduced to the sport and its powerful, positive influence.

The Annapurna Skatepark stands as living proof of the transformative power of skateboarding. For many kids from the slums of Pokhara, it has provided a healthy and positive alternative to the harsh realities of street life, steering them away from the risks of crime and drugs. The skatepark has become a symbol of hope, offering opportunities for personal growth, empowerment, and community connection.

The decision by MakeLifeSkateLife and its supporters to return and extend the park reflects the undeniable success of this space as a catalyst for personal transformation and social empowerment, and we are thankful to have been a part of the project.
