Vicious Bearings

The brand spearheaded by Jan Welch is rooted in the early U.S. skater culture, with Welch himself recognised as a pioneer. His skating journey took off in 1991, driven by a desire to bring cohesion to the skater community. He co-founded Scum Magazine, which within two years rose to global fame by celebrating aggressive skating and its associated lifestyle, music, and artistry. The magazine was published from 1995 to 1999.
Jan is arguably best known for his video productions. In 2005, the video “Leading the Blind” was honoured as “Video of the Year” by the French blog Pello Mag.
